The University of North America will host its 2018 commencement (graduation) ceremony on Sunday, October 21, 2018. It will be held for the first time in UoNA’s new campus building in Fairfax, Virginia.
The university will award both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business, Information Technology and Computer Science to over 130 graduates. The ceremony will include welcome remarks from President Jill Martin and Vice President Dr. Peter C. West. In addition, the ceremony will feature a student speaker, and a commencement speaker to be announced. Past speakers have included Dr. Gerald Gordon, president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, Mark Keam, Virginia Delegate, Benny Zhang , Williamsburg, Virginia City Council Member and Senator John Warner from Virginia who delivered some videotaped congratulatory remarks to graduates.
The graduation ceremony is for UoNA candidates for graduation, their families and guests, university faculty, staff and special guests. The graduation ceremony will be followed by a reception for all graduates and their guests where they will be able to celebrate their accomplishments.
Students at UoNA have an opportunity to explore the globalizing marketplace, while sharpening their cultural, historical, and social acumen. Students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the fields of business and technology and become leaders in today’s fast-changing world.
